What is Night and Day about?

Night and Day Volleyball isn’t for everyone.
We exist for the athlete who's tired of comfort zones.
We train hard, think big, and build players who are overlooked — until they can’t be.

A Bit About Me:

Night and Day Volleyball Club was founded with one goal in mind: to give hardworking athletes the opportunity to grow into elite players—regardless of where they started. As a former high school athlete, I understand what it feels like to be overlooked or underestimated. That experience fueled my passion for coaching: to help young athletes develop confidence, skills, and a strong mindset on and off the court.

I’ve spent years studying the game, training under some of the best minds in the sport, and building a coaching style focused on discipline, encouragement, and real results. I believe every athlete has the ability to reach their highest potential with the right coaching, consistency, and belief. At Night and Day, we don’t just coach skills—we build character, grit, and self-belief.

I’m committed to providing a competitive yet nurturing environment where players can thrive, be challenged, and feel seen. My mission is to develop athletes who are not only strong players but strong people.

If you’re ready to work hard, grow fast, and become the best version of yourself, you’re in the right place.

A Bit About Me:

My name’s Owen, and I’ve dedicated myself to this sport through every stage of my journey—from playing at San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club to competing all four years at John Burroughs High School. I've learned, grown, and pushed myself alongside some of the best.

I've also had the incredible opportunity to coach at San Gabriel’s summer camps, helping young athletes build their skills, confidence, and love for the game. Coaching opened my eyes to the power of community and mentorship in volleyball—and that's exactly the spirit we bring to this club.

I play outside and opposite hitter, and I’m excited to continue my volleyball journey by playing for the CSUN Club Team this year.

If you're looking for a place where passion meets purpose, where hard work turns into real progress, and where you’ll be surrounded by teammates who feel like family—this is the club for you. Whether you're just starting out or looking to take your game to the next level, we’ve got the coaching, the culture, and the commitment to help you shine.

Hi, my name is Brian Zhou!  I bring a deep understanding of the game, shaped by years of playing at a high level and a passion that hasn’t faded since my first serve. I played at Henry J. Kaiser High School in Hawaii, where I primarily ran the court as a setter, but also contributed as a libero, opposite, and outside hitter when needed. I know what it takes to adapt, lead, and compete across multiple positions.

Though I haven’t held an official coaching title yet, I’ve already been in the gym mentoring athletes at my former high school — and that experience showed me that coaching is where I belong.

I’ve trained at a level that earned me a tryout invite from Pepperdine and interest from several Division III programs, but I chose a different path — one that’s brought me here, ready to pour everything I’ve learned into the next generation.

If you're looking for someone who understands the game from every angle, brings energy, leadership, and heart to the court, and is committed to building a winning culture — I’m that coach.
